Focus Buddy puts a mindful pause between you and your most distracting apps. Instead of blocking apps entirely, it introduces cognitive friction — a proven technique that gives your brain time to make an intentional choice.
ow it works:
When you open a blocked app during your scheduled focus hours, Focus Buddy steps in with a two-part check:
1. Breathing Pause — Follow a guided 15-second breathing exercise to slow down and reset.
2. Intent Setting — Write out why you're opening the app, starting with "I am opening this app to..." If your reason is intentional, you unlock it.
If not, you'll naturally walk away.
