Description
Fraction Match is an exciting and entertaining fraction math game which gives students the opportunity to practice and develop their fraction skills while playing a fun card match game.
Fraction Match offers players varying degrees of difficulty so the game is appropriate for multiple skill levels.
Fraction Match has two game modes:
Game One - In the first game, players will match pairs of fraction cards so that the fractions on the two cards add up to one whole.
Game Two - In the second game, players will match pairs of fraction cards that have equivalent fractions.
How to Play:
Each playing card has a fraction on it. During each round, the cards are shuffled and dealt. The game is then played like a classic “memory” card match game where the player tries to match all the “fraction pairs” of cards in the round. In levels 2-4 the cards are face down and the player must “remember” where each card is while matching the pairs of fraction cards. (Level 1 is easier and has all the cards face up so the player doesn’t need to remember where each card is.)
The player can choose between four levels of difficulty for each game. The first three levels include cards that show both numeric fractions as well as the fractions expressed visually as part of a pie. The fourth level omits the visual picture of the fractions.
Level 1:
Match pairs of cards that are face up.
Cards show both numerical fractions and fractions expressed visually as part of a pie.
Fraction denominators are 2, 4 6, and 8.
Level 2:
Match pairs of cards that are face down, but the player first gets a quick sneak peek of the cards face up.
Cards show both numerical fractions and fractions expressed visually as part of a pie.
Fraction denominators are 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.
Level 3:
Match pairs of cards that are face down.
Cards show both numerical fractions and fractions expressed visually as part of a pie.
Fraction denominators are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10.
Level 4:
Match pairs of cards that are face down.
Cards show numerical fractions only.
Fraction denominators are 2 - 12.
Fraction Match Features:
-Two games in one
-Multiple levels of difficulty for each game mode
-Visual “pie helper”
-Optional in-game sounds
-Timer that tracks how fast you win each round
