Description
This application determines the amount of signal strength loss, in decibels, as the signal is traveling through free space. The application allows the user to input a specific distance that the signal travels, along with the frequency of the signal. The result of the calculation is displayed in decibels. Distance and frequency can be specified in multiple units of measurement. The full version of this utility allows the user to set distance by using the devices GPS capability. Locations can be saved for use at a later time. The bearing is displayed from one point to another, which can aid activities such as antenna placement.
