Fundraising in African HE at Mac App Store analyse

Fundraising in African HE was developed by Loughborough University in partnership with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. It contains over four hours of podcasts and videos from advancement professionals across Africa sharing their experiences of working in the sector. It contains case studies and examples from institutions across Africa and draws on the Fundraising Fundamentals literature developed by CASE. It is the result of a project that builds on work done by CASE to strengthen the development of advancement in African HEIs, and research expertise at Loughborough University on philanthropy and the global geographies of Higher Education. The app covers topics on the following areas of advancement: • Getting started in advancement Introduces the broad field of activities that constitutes advancement in Higher Education. • Advancement strategies Overviews of some of the key strategies used by institutions for working with alumni, running campaigns and raising funds. • Practicing advancement Discusses how advancement is established at an institution, examines the cultivation process, data management, benchmarking, best practices and ethics in advancement. • The role of leadership in advancement Explores the role of institutional leadership in driving and supporting advancement in higher education.
