Description
Every scratch-off game in your state, ranked by how much better a ticket bought today is than one bought the day the game launched.
Prizes get claimed at a different pace than tickets sell. When the small prizes go fast and the big ones are still out there, a ticket bought now returns more than the printed odds suggest. When the top prizes are gone, it returns less. Game the Lottery reads each state lottery's own published prize tables every day, works out that gap for every game, and puts the best ones at the top.
WHAT YOU GET
• Today's top pick. The game with the largest ROI advantage in your state, chosen each morning from the lottery's own figures.
• The full catalog. Every active game sorted by its edge. Filter by ticket price, or show only the games that are ahead of where they started.
• Every prize tier. How many of each prize were printed, how many are left, the overall odds, and what a ticket pays back now against the day it went on sale.
• Your ticket ledger. Log what you spend and what you win, and see your net position. It stays on your phone. There is no account, nothing is uploaded, and deleting the app deletes the ledger.
• Twenty-six states. Arkansas, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia. HOW THE NUMBERS WORK
ROI is what a game pays back per dollar spent over its whole life, from the published prize structure and odds. Current ROI is the same calculation over the prizes still unclaimed and the tickets still unsold. The difference is the ROI advantage: a positive figure means a ticket today is better than a ticket at launch, a negative one means it is worse.
When a state publishes a prize we cannot put a cash value on, or figures that contradict each other, we show a dash rather than a number. We never print a value we cannot stand behind.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
Every scratch-off game loses money on average. No game on this list pays back a dollar for a dollar over its life, and no ranking changes that. Game the Lottery shows you which games lose least right now, and what yours have actually cost you. It does not sell tickets, take payments, or predict winners.
Game the Lottery is an independent publication and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any state lottery. Prize figures are those published by each lottery and are updated daily as they release them. The same data is free on the web at gamethelottery.com.
