An addictive mix of logic and creativity. That’s how I describe game programming to students when they ask me what it’s all about. The goal of this free game programming course is to get you hooked on coding while learning fundamental programming concepts.
In this course you will learn how to create your own game. You will easily create and add objects, sprites, animations, and events. It does not matter if you know programming or just trying to learn its fundamentals. This course is designed for everyone!
The course is 99% video based because videos are great. You get to watch, listen, learn, and review at a pace you decide. Hundreds of videos with lessons, challenges, and solutions will help guide you in your journey to becoming a game programmer using GameMaker Studio.
After each lesson you can complete a challenge to make sure you understand it. Video-solutions will help you in case you have questions.
GameMaker Studio has its own language that is similar to C++ and Java. If you know these languages, you will catch up instantly. If not, it will be a lot easier for you to learn them in future.
