Description

This app is primarily used to measure attitude of geological structures. It contains the following features: 1) This app could record Strike, Dip, Dip Direction, Azimuth, Coordinates, Altitude and Location of the site. 2) It could also measure line structures. 3) Users could set direction reference to True North or Magnetic North. 4) Display survey information in both map and table mode. 5) Survey data could be exported as a csv format file for users post usage. 6) Users could add photos, videos, voice notes and text description to survey data.

Genialer Geologenkompass der wirklich alle Funktionen bietet die man sich wünschen kann. Zum Einmessen von Ebenen und Linearen. Es können Bilder und diverse Notizen hinterlegt werden und alle Messungen auf einer Landkarte angezeigt werden. Wirklich super! Aber bitte ändert die Übersetzung im Deutschen von "plane" nach "Fläche" und nicht nach "Flugzeug". Ist zwar lustig aber halt falsch. XD

Molto ben fatta. Testata con la mia bussola. Funziona molto bene e permette di posizionare la giacitura subito in carta. Consente anche di allegare una fotografia per la giacitura che si sta prendendo

Well designed. Makes iPhone a highly functional geologic instrument. Even better if elevation could be set to feet and if dip could be read aloud so you dont have to look at the screen when setting position.

User guide is worthless. Maybe it would help if it had some words. App seems like it would work fine if I could just figure out how to use it. I dont see a pointer and I dont know if the IPad is to be horizontal or vertical. I also dont know if I need an Internet connection.

I figured out how to take a strike (using the top of my iPhone along the planar surface Im measuring) however the dip I cannot figure out and the pictures in the info section are not helpful! Ive tried every edge of my phone with a known strike and dip surface and have yet to get a correct measurement of the dip with this app. Also, is data coverage required to use the app and store data? Or will it store with our cell service/wifi?? This seems like it would be a very useful app but it needs more support!! Please update!
