Description

This is the new version of GPS to SMS which supports iOS 8 and all the new iPhones (also iPhone 6 plus) and iPads. If you are using iOS 6 or smaller the old version is still available in the app store. Send your actual location via SMS, Whatsapp or E-Mail to friends, colleagues or emergrency aiders by using the "GPS to SMS" App. The sent message contains the GPS-Coordinates, the altitude and a link to Google™-Maps and Apple Maps. The email also contains your actual address. Use cases: • let your kids send their location to you • send your location to friends on a big open air music festival • send your location to get help if you had a car break-down • use it to send your location on treks • want to know where you are? The app shows your actual address • this app is also used by rescue services Features: • send SMS or E-Mail with GPS-Data and altitude • send Email with address (street, town,...) of your current location • shows actual GPS-Data lattitude, longitude, altitude in different formats (degree/decimal) • show your position on a map view (satellite, map, hybrid) • correct your actual position manually in the map view or sent location of any location you select in the map view • works without internet (no maps, no E-Mail in this case but you can send your position via SMS) • Google™-Maps-Link is automatically integrated in SMS and E-Mail • preset reciever E-Mail or SMS-Address

Ich hab die alte Version der App schon seit Jahren auf meinem IPhone. Benutze die App zum Gps Daten anzeigen und versenden. Die neue Version kann auch whatsapp und in die zwischenablage kopieren und ist ausserdem auch für mein iPhone 6 plus optimiert.

ich bin bereits Nutzer seit der 1. Version und gratuliere zu dieser sinnvollen und einfach zu bedienenden App. Das was noch fehlt ist, dass der Empfänger der SMS eine Schnittstelle zu einer der Navigationsapps hat. In meinem Fall wäre das zum Beispiel Navigon. Ich denke TomTom würde sich aber auch anbieten. Wenn wir z. B. in der USA sind und kein Datenroaming haben (die eingebaute Kartenapp braucht Daten), so lässt sich der Standort noch besser unabhängig vom Internet finden. Die meisten Tankapps haben bereits diese Schnittstelle. Ist da was geplant? Als Update oder 3.Version?

Ich benutze die App, um meinem Mann den Ort zu schicken, wo er mich nach der Arbeit abholen soll, da ich oft an verschiedenen Orten arbeite. Wirklich super - lohnt sich gleich, da es meinem Mann viel Benzin für unnötiges rumfahren spart :)

Sehr gute App! Aber Verbesserungsvorschläge...

Die App ist sehr gut und kann sogar in Extremsituationen (ohne Outdoor-Internet-Empfang) Leben retten. So etwas habe ich gesucht! Habe aber ein paar Verbesserungsvorschläge: 1.) Text allgemein größer darstellen. 2.) Schaltflächen größer darstellen. 3.) Standort (Str. u. Ort, Land) direkt anzeigen (nicht oben langsam rein scrollen lassen). 4.) Wenn möglich "Str. u. Ort, Land" auch in gesendeter SMS, bzw. WhatsApp anzeigen. (Wäre sehr gut). 5.) Wenn möglich kleine Kartenansicht mit aktueller Position zur Orientierung DIREKT beim Start anzeigen (ohne extra Schaltfläche unten). 6.) Frei wählbares Hintergrundbild anbieten. 7.) "WhatsApp-Schaltfläche" auch direkt unten anbringen. 8.) Zusätzlich aktuelles Datum (Tag, Monat, Jahr) zur bereits angezeigten Uhrzeit beifügen. Bin auf das nächste Update gespannt!
