GPX Editor at Mac App Store analyse

1) not found how to remove the damn rectangle around the track 2) not found how to change track line color and style 3) not found how to export the map with the track to a PNG file

Addition to my old review: The developer is very cooperative and added a lots of useful features in the new version. The added compatibility to OpenStreetMaps I like best. Thanks a lot for the big improvement. Old review: When I am hiking or skiing in austria, italy or somewhere else I really like to record my tracks using the iPhone (or any other handheld GPS device). It is great for sharing the track with friends or just showing them what I have done. The issue is, at the end of the week you have about hundreds of gps tracks and you need to edit and organize them. Now GPX Editor comes in. It allowes to import gpx files (tracks, waypoints, routes) and allows to merge them. It is also perfect for planning a hike or an adventure. What needs to be improved: - User should be able to assign colors to tracks - user should be able to assign a custom icon to a waypoint, track, route - Start and destination of a track should be visible (e.g. by flags) - possibility to use OpenStreetMaps in addition to Apple Maps All in all I really enjoy using the app and it does what it should do.

I’m very pleased with this software. It’s proving super useful when planning camping trips. I can make up a map with routes, and waypoints super quickly and shre it with a group of people. Also makes editing trip logs really easy. Thanks.

This app may be ok if you are creating or editing very simplistic GPX files. The first time I opened the app I had to force quit (spinning beach ball of death). Upon the 2nd opening I did manage to open one of my smaller GPX files with a number of trails (after watching the beach ball for over a minute) but zooming, panning and selecting trails frequently locks while the beach ball spins making the app unusable. It’s a bit shocking how slow and frustrating the app is to attempt to use running on a top of the line (2015) iMac Rentia i7. If you are considering this app be aware that you will likely need to restrict use to very small single trail GPX files. Also found that I was unable to select trails in order to attempt to export a single trail. Selecting trails segments in the list boxes doesn’t position the view window either so if the performance wasn’t a show-stopper the UI functionatility may be an issue as well. Hopefully the app developer will work on the peformance issues. Meanwhile I’ll have to search elsewhere to edit GPX files.

Mi dispiace molto dover valutare come pessima questa applicazione. Inizialmente ho contattato il supporto chiedendo se questa App era anche in lingua italiana e, soprattutto, se esisteva una versione di prova. Il supporto, gentilmente, mi ha risposto subito avvertendomi che le mie richieste non potevano essere soddisfatte. L’ho acquistata ugualmente. Purtroppo questa App non è utilizzabile in quanto non è proprio possibile esplorarla ne pigiare un qualsiasi pulsante perché si blocca inspiegabilmente…!!! Per quel poco che ho potuto vedere, comunque, è inferiore ad altre applicazioni di questo genere. Non so più cosa acquistare; non trovo niente che possa soddisfare le mie esigenze di gite in montagna…!

Yes you can open, edit and save GPX files but there’s no routing between the waypoints just straight lines. Sending to Apple Maps doesn’t really help in this case. I’ll update my review if I find this application to actually provide some basic functionality.
