GradeBook Pro is a powerful and intuitive classroom management tool. Record scores, attendance, and student performance in an app designed with professional educators in mind. GradeBook Pro is a complete solution, there are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, advertisements, limitations, or third party services to pay for. Grades • Weighted and standard point-based scales are supported. • Customize the grade scale with unlimited letter grade ranges. • Categorize assignments to see student grades by category. • Award extra credit or deduct penalty points. • Drop or exempt a score to exclude it from the grade calculation. • Override the number of points possible on a student-by-student basis. • Record a note with any score. • View student average grade, highest grade, and total point score. • Categorized classes report overall and category-specific grades. Behavior • Assign custom labels to four selectable behavior marks. • Quickly track performance, participation, preparedness, behavior, conduct, or any other criteria. Attendance • Mark students as Present, Absent, or Tardy. • Absent and tardy entries can be flagged as excused or unexcused. • View photos while recording attendance. • Email a daily attendance summary. • Quickly create email addressed to all present, absent, or tardy students. • Student attendance status is displayed on the main and score entry screen. Reporting • Create attendance, grade, performance, and roster reports for the class. • Create attendance, grade, performance, and summary reports for individual students. • Export grade, attendance, and performance data to CSV formatted files. • Upload reports to Dropbox, email them, or view them on the in-app report viewer. • Email a list of ungraded students by assignment. Other • Five color themes to choose from. • Import class rosters or scores via email, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Box, etc… • Backup and restore with via iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Box, etc… • Assign photos to students to view when recording grades or taking attendance. • Copy students, assignments, grade scales, and categories between classes. • Prevent unauthorized access with a launch passcode.

Decent but needs some basic features

Useful but as it is I dont see myself replacing my desktop program with it yet. I love the Dropbox integration and being able to add pictures using the camera. However, the fact that I cannot weight entries, or at least scale marks after entering to change relative values is very annoying. The app also needs more data field, for gender, parent email, and so on. Being able to enter multiple marks would be helpful Good job, but needs some functionality.

Ive been using this app this past summer with summer school and am VERY excited about using it this school year. This app works FAR better than ANY of the "Marking Apps" in the App Store, including Marksbook. Believe me, Ive downloaded them all and have played around with the interface. Any "bugs" in the app have been IMMEDIATELY updated and it seems like the developers REALLY want this to be the best app out there and they will do whatever it takes to satisfy their customers. I LOVE the Dropbox feature, I LOVE the layout.

The best teacher app so far. Notes allow you to create rubrics and add student comments while theyre working. For elementary teachers, it would be helpful to be able to create a master list of students and import them rather than having to create a new list of students for each subject.

Good and tricky

All of it is quite well thought out, nice intuitive interface, flexible and clear. The only drawback (and it might be because Im lazy) is the import feature; quite tricky and somewhat useless in this state. Entering data manually is easy, importing a class list is a real bummer! Theirs one way and only way to achive this (good explanation in the help section though) and it involves (for me at least) a lot of fiddling around inbetween softwares, from Excel (Numbers doesnt work for this) to TextEdit to final adjustments in GradeBook itself, lots of wasted hours to kickstart it... Once this hurdle is passed it works like a charm.
