Description
Grid Transformation is the third in a series of Civil Engineering and Surveying apps from MacReid Software. It allows you to calculate a new local grid Easting and Northing from 2 sets of coordinates and the Global Easting and Northing from the Architect’s drawings. This allows you to make ‘North’ the top of the drawing, making all coordinates much simpler!
This is one of the most important applications for a Site Engineer. Grid Transformation saves a huge amount of time as coordinates are calculated easily in a LOCAL Grid, and once Survey control points are changed to LOCAL values, the whole site can be set out in the LOCAL Grid.
