Gripper is a personalized room-scale augmented reality puzzle game that takes place in your own surroundings, and is the first markerless AR puzzle game to be purpose-built around personalization. Gripper was initially built for a TEDx event, where the event’s banner made up the puzzle to be solved, but the game was such a hit, that we continued it’s development as a standalone game. Gripper is the first augmented reality puzzle game that lets you use your own existing media as the puzzle, and customize both aesthetic and gameplay elements of every game. After customizing your game, a puzzle board appears before you and scatters puzzle cubes throughout your room or environment. You are tasked with using your Gripper, the on-screen gripping device, to pick up the puzzle cubes and put them back in the correct place. If you can beat the puzzle, you’ll win a prize! But choose carefully, or you might get something lousy. Collect prizes and beat challenges to unlock bonus items, and become a room-scale puzzle master! Gripper is made for all ages, and has both very easy and very difficult gameplay settings. You can also access challenges, or choose theme colors, music, and puzzle imagery, or take or import your own picture as your puzzle.
