Description
This guide is designed for healthcare professionals working with type 2 diabetic people who should initiate or adjust different insulin therapies. It helps standardize the therapeutic approach and the information provided to people with diabetes.
There are several ways to initiate and adjust insulin doses. This guide offers a few that can be individualized for each diabetic patient.

The Guide was written by Dr. Johanne Desforges, general practitioner, and Catherine Aubry, clinic nurse, who both have extensive experience working with people with diabetes in the care and education. The revision was entrusted to Dr Philippe Caron, endocrinologist, as well as Amélie Roy-Fleming and Julie St-Jean, certified diabetes educators and dietitian at Diabetes Quebec.
