Ever wanted to be a hacker? Play Hack RUN! Hack your way into the heart of a mysterious organization to uncover their secrets. Hack RUN® is a game which uses old school command prompts (like DOS or UNIX) that simulate a real operating system. Learn the commands of each system to help you navigate through your adventure. As you hack into their systems, you will learn about the organization and the people who work there. Read files and emails to find clues and riddles which will give you access to more accounts. Data found on their systems will help you learn about the motives of the organization, and how dark their plans can get. You may also discover dirty little secrets about the employees as well. Hacking into new accounts or discovering key information will increase your skill level. As you achieve your goals, you will move closer and closer to the final achievement; over 50 levels deep! Its time for a Hack RUN! Stuck on a level? Just use the hint or answer commands to help you along. Make sure to play the SECOND, THIRD and FOURTH games in this series called Hack Run ZERO, Hack Time and Hack NET after you complete this game! Hack RUN® is a game. It is not a tool or aid for learning how to hack into real computer systems. i273 LLC does not endorse hacking.

Good Gameplay…Weird Twist

Briana Brigman · 9 years ago · v3.0

This game was fun. I beat it all quickly in one sitting. But the plot twist is just weird, and honestly, quite stupid. The game is free so it’s totally worth it. But the story is lackluster and a bit disapointing.

Fun Game Night By Myself

I am not a gamer by any means, but I decided to play this and check it out. And I loved it. The story unfolds through people’s email that you have to ‘crack’ to get into. But it is much less tech savvy and much more human condition savvy (if that makes any sense). It is as much of a hacking game as it is a psychological game into the mind. It caught my attention and I thoroughly enjoyed the game and finished in one (3 hour) session.

I felt like a hacker

wonatesehven · 9 years ago · v3.0

The best code writing game ever! I do wish it had a bit more ease to it. I had gotten stumped a few times, got frustrated. I hate it I had to cheat some, I really did great, about 70% with out cheating. Like I said, I wish I didn’t turn to the Internet for assistance but, some of the levels are a bit confusing. It should have been hidden better to the point in the hack it gave a better clue than a basic, “hidden message on the website” I got real confused there. App still deserves 5 stars. But not going to get me to pay for the sequels. Thank You

I personally LOVED playing this game! It was challenging, but also entertaining. I just finished it, and I now have an interest in programming. I barely remember the DOS days of old, but this was definately worth playing!

Extremely fun game, sometimes challenging.

Very fun game based around hacking into a big company using a terminal and some cool green letters. Looking for clues in other’s emails and using them to log into other’s emails, along with a story that actually is pretty interesting. Defenitely would check the game out, especially as it is free.

très très cool
