- CREATE BROWSER-BASED PHOTO PORTFOLIO AND SLIDESHOW -
// Description //
HiGallery is an easy solution to managing and organizing pictures. HiGallery allows the user to create a browser-based photo collection that can be viewed across different operating systems. Use your favorite web browser to browse photos. Add titles and descriptions to pictures. Save your project at any stage so that you can edit your photo collection whenever necessary. All you have to do is double-click a project file. You can make your photo collection a slideshow powered by jQuery, which can automatically switch pictures.
So what you create with HiGallery is a browser-based photo collection. You can enjoy viewing your photos on your desktop computer (Open the html file in the export package with a web browser of your choice.) or post it on a remote server so that other people can view it.
// Features //
1. Save progress as a project file (.hgl). Just double-click on a project file to continue with the last progress you’ve made.
2. HiGallery is able to read the following graphic formats for source images: BMP, GIF, JPEG, JP2 (JPEG 2000), PDF, PNG, PSD, TIFF.
3. Set a title and a description for each photo.
4. Configure minute slideshow settings such as an zoomup speed, slideshow duration, background opacity.
5. The user is able to choose one of the following export formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG, TIFF.
6. Language: English only.
7. The application supports the Retina display.
8. Application file size: 2.0 MB
9. The application comes with a complete users guide written in English. (Choose Help > Users Guide.)
// System requirements //
1. Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or higher
2. 64-bit system
3. A computer with a display monitor capable of showing at least 848 x 586 pixels
4. A photo description must be entered in one line.
// Limitations //
1. Although the application allows the user to choose JPEG or TIFF as the export format, not all web browsers are able to decode JPEG 2000 and TIFF images.
2. A source image file must have at least 120 x 120 pixels in dimensions.
3. The size of each thumbnail image on the photo portfolio page will appear at 120 x 90 pixels (with the Rescale thumbnail pictures checkbox off) regardless of source image dimensions. If the same checkbox is off, HiGallery will retain the original aspect ratio. In all, a thumbnail image will not appear at any bigger than 120 x 90 pixels.
