Histology is a medical reference app that provides hundreds of histology slides to help you study the microscopic anatomy of cells and tissues of plants and animals. Generally speaking, Histology is commonly performed by examining cells and tissues by sectioning and staining, followed by examination under a light microscope or electron microscope. Histological studies may be conducted via tissue culture, where live cells can be isolated and maintained in a proper environment outside the body for various research projects. The ability to visualize or differentially identify microscopic structures is frequently enhanced through the use of histological stains. Histology is an essential tool of biology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, and medicine. Histopathology, the microscopic study of diseased tissue, is an important tool in anatomical pathology, since accurate diagnosis of cancer and other diseases usually requires histopathological examination of samples. Trained physicians, frequently board-certified as pathologists, are the personnel who perform histopathological examination and provide diagnostic information based on their observations. Nette idee aber Bildquali ist nicht ausreichend

Die App ist eine gute Idee -die einem , wie ich hoffte zu hause u unterwegs das histologielernen etwas erleichtert..im prinzip ist tut sie das auch,wenn einem die großen übersichten für eine gewebsdiagnose schon reichen - die zoomfuntion ist leider grauenhaft bzw. Auch einfach nicht ausreichend. Als kostenloses app wäre es super gewesen,aber auch für den geringen preis habe ich mir einfach mehr erhofft...schade

Terrible pictures

Pictures have absolutely no zooming in capabilities. Resolution is poor cannot even see cells! General information about tissues and organs but not worth the money. Even a question in the quiz had no picture to accompany the question.

This app is pretty much garbage. Cannot view slides at a high enough power ... you cant even tell what shape the cells are. What a waste... Ill stick with my text book

Cannot apply higher power. Ability to zoom in is not available. Cant make out structures in any slides and can barely identify large tissues. The blood slide is a smear of purple- leukocytes and erythrocytes are not visible. Taking pictures of my textbook images and flipping through them to quiz myself is much better alternative.

Out of focus

All slides appear to be out of focus. I was hoping to use it to teach the histology lab session. I can use a PowerPoint file with my ipad2 and have slides in focus. Maybe there is a way to improve this situation. No support. Waste of money!

This gives you almost nothing to go on. Seriously. Offers 200 slides?... Rip off! You need to buy them all after youve already bought the app. Not only that, but resolution is really bad. NOT WORTH IT.

worthless for learning histology

This app contains about 200 low magnification histological images with short descriptions. The short descriptions and definitions of the structures shown appear ok, but the resolution of the images is totally inadequate. It is impossible to see the details that are described in the text and recognizing the tissue/organ shown is more of a guessing game. The quiz consists of simple recognition MCQs and does not include any functional aspects. Several images are missing, e.g. eye, peripheral nerve teased, peripheral nerve, hyaline cartilage etc. Although it doesn’t cost a lot of money, it is worthless for learning histology
