Home Maintenance Manager: Property tracking for DIY or PRO at Mac App Store analyse

This app is total garbage. Looks useful from the description and screenshots in the App Store, but the actual app is very disappointing. Im not sure its even finished. A number of the pre-defined "items" have no maintenance tasks associated with them. Its also very buggy and freezes all the time. Absolutely not worth what they are charging for it. Learn from my mistake and dont buy this.

Used to work fine until they stopped keeping up with iOS updates.

Just what I wanted! Simple and easy to use.

I love this App, its easy to use and helpful. I am a maintenance professional, and I always wanted to find software like the ones we use at work. Well, this is it, only easier. I would like to make a suggestion though. I have a rental house, and was wondering if you could add functionality that would allow me to track more than one house? Also, can you incorporate a task list for corrective as well as preventative maintenance? And maybe a means to have more than one user be able to add tasks.

Great for single home owners and those with that vacation home or even more sites to maintain. The ability to create custom tasks not only can track maintanence but keep a cleaning schedule, lawn care schedule, and whatever else you want to maintain! Two thumbs way up!!!

This is a decent App but could be improved significantly with minor changes. First, the Item Details is limited by fixed fields: Make, Model, S/N, however many household items like major appliances have warranties so a customized list for users to add a Purchased date and warranty information should be added. The App Store Promo description states that this App can be customized to add any type of Home Owner maintenance item, which is true, however adding a non- equipment type item like Landscaping still gives the user fixed fields for; Make, Model, S/N, which have no value and remain blank fields. Item Details offers History and Open Task fields, the History being completed tasks like routine maintenance, but there is no field to document Repairs or a Notes feature like what is available in Tasks, to post important information about the specific item. A Notes function in the Item Details could be used to list Repairs or Spare Parts info for the specific item. Better yet, the Developer could include a Add a Repair selection under Add Task along with a Notes function. On the topic of Task Notes, I noticed that after entering a paragraph of text in notes, I was unable to edit some of the text in keyboard edit mode cause the Notes field doesnt initiate the standard iPhone scrolling feature, so I couldnt access the text at the bottom of the page to edit it. In spite of these observations, I was looking for a home maintenance tracking app that I could use to replace individual notes I was storing on my iPhone I was using to track home maintenance, and from that perspective, this App works pretty well. It has a simple and easy to use interface and is able to be customized for specific needs. Based on that I think it deserves 3 Stars, and with a few enhancements this could easily be a 4 or 5 Star iPhone App for Home Maintenance.
