Description

In 1888, when Hawai‘i was still a monarchy, King Kalakaua commissioned a magazine under royal charter to be Hawai‘i’s ambassador to the world. That magazine was Paradise of the Pacific. In 1966, Paradise of the Pacific became HONOLULU Magazine and shifted focus dramatically. No longer would it just promote local business and tourism to the United States. It became a magazine by and for the people of the Islands. Today, HONOLULU is among the handful of publications in the U.S. that have chronicled the events of an entire century. It is, in fact, the longest established magazine west of the Mississippi and the only monthly city magazine in the state of Hawai‘i….and it continues today. Every month Honolulu residents rely on HONOLULU magazine for revealing profiles, discerning dining and cultural guides, in-depth features, informed commentary and authoritative Best-of lists. *Back issues and future issues are available for purchase within the App. Future issues are also available through the following auto-renewing subscription: -12 Issues (1 Year) at $14.99 / £10.49 The subscription will include the current issue if you do not already own it and subsequently published future issues. iPhoneに対応していません

説明に誤りがありこのバージョンではiPhoneには対応していません。タブレット版のみつまりiPadのみとのこと。そちらもまだ確認してません。

Just PDFs

Noah Danger · 14 years ago

I wont comment on the actual content of the magazine, aside from its well laid out and colorful. However, it is not optimized for iOS in any way. Its just pictures of the pages of the print magazine. The table of contents doesnt link you to the articles, and there are ZERO interactive elements like there are in "TRVL" or Engadgets "DISTRO".

Absolute Best App

This magazine offers a residents-eye view of life in Honolulu. A must-have resource for Oahu residents and visitors alike. Nobody covers dining with more expertise than Honolulu Mag. I LOVE this app!

No iPad subscription with print subscription

Sadly, despite having a print subscription, I have to pay again for the iPad subscription. Come on!

Great app.

Looks very similar to the print mag.

Our National Rag Rages Famtastic

Where would Luluville be without the nationally syndicated Honolulu Magazine? Whether on your local magazine rack, online, or on iOS, any kanaka or haole with any couth cant be without it. Not just another pink kitty; this App is a must have for any fun loving Hawai‘i social studies/reference/entertainment aficionado. Go Hawai‘i! "Mahalo for what you stay doing," as we say in the islands…

No Aloha For Print Subscibers

If New York Mag can figure it out, why cant Honolulu. Pacific Badin Communications should be ashamed of this blatant money grab.
