*** The Simplest Hourly Chime *** HourlyChime is a simple utility that runs in background and hourly notices the exact time to alert. With this little utility, you can easily keep track of time. You will hear alert sound with/without popup message every hour on the hour. There are 9 chimes installed with the application. You can select the chime to be played once every hour. Or you can even let your iPhone tell you the time in "Speaking Clock" mode. FEATURES: - Only one view - runs fully in the background - use any of the built-in chime sounds - built-in speaking clock as alternative to chime sound How to use: 1. Click and run the HourlyChime application. 2. In order to enable alert function, you should slide the switch ON. 3. When the switch is ON, you can see other options. 4. You can set your alert type, alert times and alert tone. The selected item will be displayed with the checked mark. 5. If it is done, you should press the Home button. This is an excellent addition to the functionality of my iPhone. A discrete chime alerts me to the passing of another hour and acts as a reminder to stop day-dreaming and get back to work! It can also act as a handy incoming call excuse to get out of a boring conversation with someone!

Useful but limited

A useful app, but needs two features that it currently lacks: (1) a volume control to adjust the loudness of the chimed relative to my iPods main volume (eg. for when Im playing music on the same device) and (2) options for chimes on the half hours or the quarter hours.

Very good but can be better

Suggestions: 1. Add "Days" (Sunday, Monday, ...) feature, so I dont have to switch it off on weekends. 2. Make an iPad version. 3. Add "Every 15 & 30 mins" chime as well, so it will be more flexible.

great app.. useful for knowing the time without having to pull your phone out of your pocket. built-in sounds arent all that great.. would be better if you could pick an iOS5 ringtone.

Программу такого рода ждал давно. К минусам хочу отнести: 1. нет возможности перехода между 12-часовым и 24-часовым форматом; 2. как я понял нет возможности добавлять свои мелодии; 3. нет возможности добавлять к конкретному часу свою уникальную запись. Хотелось бы: к событию 14-ть часов выбрать мелодию типа - "Московское время четырнадцать часов" и т.п.. В целом считаю программу перспективной и ставлю твёрдую 4!
