The increase in activity is generally thought to be movement to feed. These cycles in activity are caused by the earth’s relationship to the moon and sun. Since the moon is closer than the sun, its influence is stronger despite the fact that the sun is many times larger. DataSport, Inc. uses this science and, in The Fish & Game Forecaster and the HuntCast graphics, adds many other well-known activity triggers such and dawn and dusk, to arrive at extremely reliable forecast times.
