All reviews →INTERESTING DRUM APP
First of all this is no replacement for a Tune-bot, its much slower to react and the results are not nearly as consistent or useful. If youre getting serious about drum tuning and dont want to spend very much this app might be helpful. I have four rack toms and two floor toms, I tune them in major thirds. I can get them to exact frequencies with Tune-bot but not using iTuneDrums which allows me to get in the ballpark but not right on the target note. I like that this drum tuning app lives on my iPhone so I have it with me all the time. iTuneDrums has an interesting readout of information about the sound drums make. It is unlike torque wrenches because it is based on sound not measurement of physical tension or pressure, it measures the sonic results of these physical measurments which is what your ears do to when listening to drums. At $5 its worth the investment to have another viewpoint of the sound and pitch your drums are actually making. If you tune your drums by ear iTuneDrums can tell you how well your ears guided you to the end result, like Q.C. for your ears and pitch. It is fascinating to see on the app how a harmonic can be louder than the fundamental tone of a drum and how the smallest turn of the drum key can change the overall timbre produced.
WORKS AS PROMISED
First off, I have never reviewed an app in my life, however I was compelled to review this one. I have been playing and tuning drums for the better part of 20 years. I have a good ear and usually dont have much trouble getting a great drum sound. However, after purchasing a new kit (my sixth) I could not get the floor tom to sound good. And for what I paid for the drums it should sound great. After messing with it for about an hour, I started googling solutions. Which brought me to the tune bot. Further googling lead me to iDrumTune. 10 minutes after using this App my floor tom SINGS. I used the multi lug tuning option and was able to quickly get all the lugs relative to the pitch of the head. I couldnt be happier and Im excited to try it on all my other drums!!! Buy this app if your a drummer!!!
Ipad
For ipad and in french please :) (discover By batterie magazine)
It helps to tune your pocket, no more coin sounds
Just dont buy it, im really surprised That Apple CAN support such kind of software! They probably never test it...
Amazing app
Fantastic app, it works very well, has a lot of great features and is regularly updated. Very usefull, I recommend it !
Really helpfull
This is an awesome App. It really helps a lot with tuning the drums. And i think it is better than buying an expensive drum tuning robot or something. Really good and for 0,89 €cnt you should give it a try!
