issues with subtitles

Im having some issues with subtitles. After conversion, some videos have subtitles at the top of the screen when I play them with QuickTime or Apple TV :(((

Sehr gutes Programm für die Zuweisung von Film Metadaten

Excellentes Programm, um die Metadaten von Filmen und Serien zuzuweisen. Nur zu empfehlen...

Top quality app with prompt support

This app really does it all. In the past, I’ve separately used iSquint, Handbrake & Handbrake Batch, iDentify, MetaX & MetaZ, Subler, Subsmarine and others to convert, tag, and subtitle. All these apps are fine in their own right but iFlicks is by far the best I’ve ever tried. If I had iFlicks years ago, I would have saved dozens of hours and tons of grief completing my huge video library. To borrow Apple’s saying, it just works. The metadata lookup is magical and it hasn’t failed once and the interface is simple and intuitive. I have contacted support regarding some basic questions and replies have been swift and concise. If you are looking for a solution to metadata tagging, video format converting, and subtitling, this is the superior choice and is worth every penny.

What happened?

Takes twice as long now in version 2.4 to process files in quick mode (iTunes compatible)… What happened?

Nice application, does the job with a good interface and work flow.

I’ve been doing the task targeted by iFlicks with command line tools, and iFlicks is so much easier. As I wasn’t about to write my own app I decided to pay up for a nice GUI and workflow, and I’m quite pleased. Converts formats, adds metadata, and handles subtitles well, and that’s what I need. The developer seems to be committed to continual improvement and I appreciate that. He/she must be quite familiar with the needs/desires of the target audience, and has put together an application that seems pretty easy to use out of the box, with reasonable support for more complex tasks. Update for version 2.4: The app gets better incrementally, probably reflecting input from people with more complicated needs than I, but I do often appreciate improvements I didn’t know I wanted. I really like this app and the way it helps me get video files optimized for use on OS X or iOS with and without iTunes (I generally prefer VLC to iTunes because files tend to pile up in iTunes and use a lot of disk space).
