ImageGlitch is a way to digitally destroy images to create new works of art from your photographs or graphic designs created on the computer.

Note: For best results, use JPEG or TIFF. Other file formats are hard to work with or may completely corrupt the image. Be sure to always make backups of your images with any app that makes changes to your photos.

How to use:

Its easy, just start removing some lines from the textfield on the left. You can add lines from external sources, remove lines, change lines, but read below for a few tips.

- Command + Z (undo) is your friend. You will often see your entire image disappear, just Command + Z back to where you were.

- The first 50 lines (give or take) are usually full of meta information, so editing these lines will usually result in no or little change to the image.

- The text correlates to the image, towards the top you will change the top part of the image. If you change text towards the bottom, you will affect the bottom part of the image.

Fart app

was für experimentierfreudige...

5 Sterne

Doesn’t even work!

What a crappy application! It doesn’t go beyond the opening of a file… it just crashes time after time! Specially if youre using a TIFF file you will have to force the app to quit. And with JPG it just gives you one or two lines of code that you can’t change at all or the whole image dissapears. Seriously lousy application! I wish I could get the 1.00 dollar back with interests for the time wasted!

CRAP

Absolute crap! I wish I read the only review. I was so excited to find this app, but this isn’t even worth the $1 I payed. DON’T BUY IT.

Ciekawa

Neat

Its an interesting program. Basically, it opens an image in a text editor. (which means its just gibberish gobeldygook.) And then shows you a preview of the image on the other side. As you manually delete lines of the text, it will distort the image. No different from if you opened the picture in a text editor and removed lines on your own, except with ImageGlitch, you get instant visual feedback. Which is cool. Not sure of the practical use for being able to do this, but its neat to experiment I guess.. However, since you do have to edit things manually, itd be cool to have a feature to randomly distort the image (randomly remove lines in the code, maybe a slider to pick how drastic the removal is). Thats my only suggestion to really make this cool.
