### SUPPORTS QRCodes ONLY! ###

iRobin is the useful Helper all around reading QRCodes (quick response codes – 2D barcodes) which are used more and more in newspapers and magazines to access additional information available in the Internet.
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
Supported OS:
• iOS 4 and higher

Supported Devices:
• iPhone 4
• iPhone 3GS
(NOT the new iPod touch 4G)

⚠ IMPORTANT NOTE to the new iPod touch 4G: Caused by the absence of a reasonable autofocus camera iRobin may only work with limitations on this device!

Simply scan the quadratic barcode and iRobin does the rest for you:
✔ auto-open links to websites in safari mobile;
✔ auto-open eMail addresses in the mail-app;
✔ auto-call phone numbers*;
✔ adding VCards (.vcf files) or MeCards to the address book app;
✔ auto-open geo coordinates the maps app;
✔ auto-open calendar events.

Full iPhone 4 support:
✔ Multitasking (for all compatible iOS 4 devices);
✔ use the torch for lighten up while scanning;
✔ full HD artwork;

Scanned barcodes can be saved into the iRobin barcode list and (re)called later (Ideal for reading newspaper while traveling by airplane: Simply scan barcodes of interest while reading the paper onboard and continue detail reading online after arrival). Or send them as eMail attachment to any eMail address you want.

Using iTunes, you are also able to get scanned barcdes in a text or XML file.

The scan area can be cropped to enhance scanning results even if several QR-Codes are placed directly together.

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
IMPORTANT NOTES:
iRobin needs the autofocus capabilities of the iPhone 3GS or 4 and works very limited on the iPod touch 4G. The scanning results on this device can be improved by using an optionally available optical lens (macro lens).
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

* For security reasons phone calls are only executed after user confirmation of the shown decoded phone number.

Does what it says on the tin

A very nice QR code reader. I like that it can be set to automatically go to the URL in the QR code. Get it while its free!

Garbage doesnt work how does apple allow this to be sold?

Mostly there; 2 shortcomings

I like it. I have two feature requests: - The email should also include a .vcf (vCard) attachment. Id prefer one vcf per name sent (vs one with all) so the person I send to doesnt end up importing duplicates into their address book (and only imports the ones they want). - A slightly more apparent visual and audible notice of successful capture. Otherwise, good app.

Like now

Was having problems with it at first but they updated and it works fine
