I have a new 2015 jayco with the iRV 6500 head unit. To my surprise the app doesnt support this unit! Looks awesome, please add support for other head unit models!
iRV app
Tried this on 2 different devices in a 2017 Roxkwood Roo with the iRV34 radio. Could not get this to work no matter what I tried, it just says disconnected on the upper right. I can play music over Bluetooth however.
Does Not Work
I was very excited to take delivery of my new 2015 Rockwood Travel Trailer with the iRV33 installed. I downloaded the app onto my iPhone 5 with latest iOS. I placed iRV into Bluetooth mode and made a connection with my phone. I opened the iRV app and it would never connect with the radio to allow full control. I did check the Bluetooth connection and was able to play music via my music library on iPhone. App does not connect with radio.
Same failure
Connects to play music but no controls work at all
I cannot get it connect
The button on top of screen shows it as being disconnected from my iPhone even though Bluetooth is connected. It will play music through Bluetooth but all other controls seem not to work!
Blue tooth remote
In our rv we only had two hdmi inputs on tv, so i ran two hdmi cables to back of irv66 unit and paired iphone with unit. I found that because my wife and i both had connected to unit i had to get her to turn off bluetooth before i could connect and then this app worked perfect.
Exactly what I needed.
This is exactly what I wanted to be able to use the volume control from anywhere in the travel trailer. The infrared remote only works in the living room (as it should, because of line of sight operation). Now I can control it from my bedroom and outside where there are speakers, but no line of sight for the infrared remote.
