Description
With Isis Photo Effects, you can create incredible photographic effects by combining two photos through a density mask. The mask can be anything - photo, drawing, or text -- and is limited only by your imagination.
The density mask effects are integral to Isis Photo Effects. You simply decide what effect you want to achieve with two photos and select or make a mask. Isis Photo Effects does all the work by automatically sizing photos and mask. The density of the mask determines the amount of blur, sharpening, or blend of your two photos.

bad app
Decent idea that needs to be able to save to disk
For a first version, this program shows potential but there are two serious flaws, one of which isnt directly to do with the program itself. The first problem is that there is apparently no way to save the created image to the local drive; maybe I missed it, but its a Serious Detriment. It also should be easy enough to fix in version 1.0.2. The second serious problem is the making of masks; with the demise of the AppleWorks drawing program (and Canvas before that) to system upgrades, I have no way to make any but the simplest masks satisfactorily. As I said, its not a fault of the program itself, but it does limit its usefulness. There is also one feature that I wish would change, that the "first photo" automatically becomes the combined effect after it is made. Thats easy enough to work around, but its an irritant.
totally confused
I was excited to use this but it’s totally confusing. I had no idea what to do in each section. So, I began playing around with the various selections. It wasn’t blending the images the way I had hoped. AND it doesn’t save. Please improve this!!
really cool
Works great. A little confusing at first, but after you understand how it works you can creat some amazing special effects.
