iSubtitle - Soft subtitled movies for your Apple gear

Inject subtitle files and metadata into your movies and TV-shows for your iTunes library and all your Apple devices, like the iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple TV and Mac.

The first and only application to take full advantage of Apples soft subtitle technology. The subtitle tracks are resolution independent and rendered in real-time as you watch the movie. Subtitles are always displayed at the best quality your device can perform. There are support for multiple languages in the same movie file and you can even switch language on the fly as you watch. If you already have a movie in a format that suits your needs theres no reason to re-encode it, just add the subtitles and use File->Save and youre good to go. If, on the other hand, your movie is not suited for your device you can batch re-encode it straight from within the application. You can also tag your file with metadata so its easier to find in your growing library of tv-shows and movies. Enjoy!

Main Features

- Add soft, non-destructive subtitle tracks, that wont change or alter the original movie.
- Subtitles can be turned on/off using the interface of the device or application.
- Complete support for multiple languages in the same file.
- Supported devices are iPod, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
- Supported applications are iTunes, QuickTime Player or any app that can play a AVFoundation/QuickTime Movie.

- Matroska subtitles, like ssa/ass and srt, are automatically converted to soft subtitle tracks on import.
- Sync subtitles in real-time using the time offset stepper.
- Automatic and manual metadata tagging.
- Create chapter markers automatically or manually.
- Batch re-encode movies within the application to support your target device or application.
- Watch subtitled movies in fullscreen without leaving the application.
- Works perfect with 10.9 Mavericks.

Good App, excellent support

Not only this app is simple and powerful, the support is quick and personal. I really recommend!

Greatness !!!

I don´t understand the people who says "Trash !!" or "don´t like it" in some way. All I have to say is that it does exactly what it says, the technical support is SUPERB !! This guy Isaksson Jorgen is awsome !! I could ask a question either by 3:00 am or 12:00 pm and he answered immediatly every time !! Greatness !!!

Great app with great support

I use this app multiple times a week and have never had an issue. The Subtitle search works great and the tagChimp integration is very helpful. The icing on the cake is the support is AMAZING. I get answers often within an hour and definitely within the day. Bottom line, the app does what its supposed to and does it well. You cant ask for much more than that.

Does not work as advertised.

Tried to apply a .srt subtitle to a file and the software says "this is not a .srt file". Guess what??? It is! I author videos for a living. I think I would know how to create a simple .srt file. Its nothing but text formatted in a specific way!!! Not to mention it crashes constantly (I am running a new dual 6 core machine with loads of ram) and its horribly slow. What a piece of complete garbage. Skip it. Find something free. Find something more expensive. But find something else!!!! Ugh. I am asking Apple to refund my money. This does not work as advertised.

Great!

Dont Works with Front Row on Snow Leopard but works perfectly on iPhone and iPad.

Excellent features

I love how this program goes out on the net and gets metadata, sub files and posters, gives me on the fly choices of which subtitle file I want to use, and then allows me to accurately syncronize the subs with the a/v. The program allows me to increase or decrease font size--no more minuscule fonts like I get with handbrake. Another big plus: Jörgen (the program author) provides quick answers to my emails whenever I have questions. Even when there are times when I would prefer to process the video with handbreak, I use iSubtitle first to verify synchronization. No more waiting games to see if handbrake has them aligned. One problem Ive experienced on a few video conversions (four out of 30?) is whitescreen until the first sub registers. BEFORE YOU BUY iSubtitle, check out Jörgens other programs, like RoadMovie, to see if other features suit your needs better. I have both!
