iVoxel - The singing vocoder iVoxel is not only an amazingly sounding vocoder - the unique concept of iVoxel turns this vocoder into a singing machine. iVoxel is a combination of a voice optimized synthesizer and a vocoder. The vocoder part is based on the Matrix vocoder from VirSyn used by many famous artists - one of them the well known german group Kraftwerk. The channel filters used by iVoxel are based on the Sennheiser Vocoder VSM201 resulting in a rich and fat analogue sound characteristic. The pitch follower and automatic tuning let you sing correct to a selectable scale. You can use iVoxel in many different ways: As a realtime vocoder talking into the microphone while playing tunes on the keyboard. The sound character of your voice can be changed in many different aspects like pitch, gender or breath noise. Use it to sing over your favorite iTunes song ! Record the analyzed spectrum of phrases and words from your own voice. Then use this voxel to play with your own voice on the keyboard or with the build in sequencer. Nearly 300 hundred prerecorded voxels are already included. The output of your creations can be recorded to an audio file which you can use with other Apps and programs for further processing. Crash Machine

Go on the "edit" window and then try to go back it will crash everytime on my up to date MacBook Pro. :/

Perdu dans la jungle des apps musicales, je tombe sur iVoxel… Je cherchais un vocoder soft depuis pas mal de temps. Et là, cest la grande claque !!! Dailleurs, Kraftwerk lutilise :))

Klanglich an sich sehr schön. Aber: - Die Bedienungsanleitung ist quasi nicht vorhanden und beschränkt sich auf einige wenige, spärliche Help-Seiten. - Das Programm gibt beim Anschluss eines USB-Headsets (Logitech) merkwürdige Geräusche von sich oder stürzt gnadenlos ab. In sofern ist auch der angeblich vorhandene Mikrofoneingang nicht zu gebrauchen. - Wie man Töne über das eingebaute Mikrofon eines MacBook Pro einspeist war bisher nicht heraus zu finden. Beim Anwählen des eingebauten Mikrofons passiert jedenfalls... nichts. Sorry, aber selbst für eine Version 1.0.2 ist das etwas dürftig!

Diese App funktioniert überhaupt nicht. Dass so etwas im App Store landet ist eine Frechheit. Ich versuche mit meinem Klavier über Midi die Tonhöhe zu verändern. Geschweige dessen, dass ein extern angeschlossener Kopfhörer an einer anerkannten Presonus Firebox Soundkarte nicht funktioniert - man kann ja immerhin den internen Kopfhörerausgang verwenden. Aber ehrlich: mal geht es polyphon, mal nicht. Gerade jetzt habe ich urplötzlich eine Latenz von einer halben Sekunde drin. Und das Klavier verändert die Tonhöhe gar nicht mehr. Es klingt nur nach Gehäxel. Zweimal in 30 Minuten ist die App nun schon abgestürzt. Schade, dass es keine Geld-Zurück-Garantie im App-Store gibt !!!

This app has great potential. I tested it with an M-Audio Axiom 25 keyboard controller, with a MacBook Pro using the internal mic for input and a pair of AKG K240 studio headphones for output. Always wanted a Vocoder for my home studio... My initial observations: - good sound quality with the live vocoder my main interest - the app keyboard sometimes, not always, would display the Axiom keyboard input ( not a big deal but nice to have to following your playing) - couldnt change the range of the keyboard preset range assignments In short this program is a bargin and one any musician should purchase... Keep up the great work! Allan Davison
