"JAPANESE 3 Lite" is a perfect application for intermediate Japanese learners. You can learn Kanji, vocabulary, and grammar of JLPT N3 level by answering questions. The words and sentences in this level are those widely used in everyday life. If you master those, you can easily understand everyday conversation and writings. The LITE version consists of 40 Kanji questions, 30 vocabulary questions and 30 grammar questions. 20 questions will be randomly delivered each time. It’s just the right volume for a handy study-tool - and you can do it anytime anywhere! Have fun and your Japanese will be improved before you know it;) This app is available in Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese (simplified Chinese character and original Chinese character).

Great study tool but its just a lite. When will we have the full version?

Questions seem to be at appropriate level, covering the right material, but more importantly, the complexity of questions looks correct also. Even the wrong choices look authentic. Vocabulary questions generally consist of choosing synonyms and fill in the blank to make sense. Grammar questions are fill in the blank with correct answer. If you miss a question, it provides the right answer (no second chances) and also translates some key words. All in all, a decent app for some level-appropriate drill when you have a few minutes to spare. Of course this free sampler only has about 20% of what the paid one has, so it wont carry you too far, but at least you get a taste. The only bad thing is that attention-demanding ads at the bottom are a little annoying. It would be better if they were static instead of whirling and flashing, but all you have to do is cover the bottom with an index card, and theyre gone! I downloaded about 5 JLPT quiz apps yesterday; this is the only one worth keeping.

The app lets you take short 20 question quizzes in either grammar, kanji, or vocabulary and tells you your results when youre done. Its simple to use, just click the catergory you want to be quizzed in and start answering multiple choice questions. It even tells you the correct answer if you get one wrong. Its a great study tool and I even found it somewhat fun. Id definitely pay $1.99 for the full version.
