Description
The Julia Set is named after mathematician, Gaston Julia. It is defined as the set of complex numbers for which the successive iterations of each of them through a function, f, does not tend to infinity. The Mandelbrot Set was discovered by mathematician, Benoit Mandelbrot, and delineates the set of Julia Sets where f(z)=z^n-r is connected.
This app allows one to explore these fascinating self-similar entities by changing the value of r for n=2, 3, and 4. One can also pan, zoom, and change the maximum number of iterations. Have fun!
