The app interface is cumbersome. The app, repeatedly, asks for me to grant it access to my location. This is every time you open the app and it can not be turned off. Why the hell does my window AC need to know where I am to do what I tell it to do? Now, the app thinks the AC is connected but it is not and no matter what I do I can't get the AC to reconnect. I now own a "Dumb" AC. This will be the last Kenmore appliance I buy.

The Kenmore Smart app is terrible. I could live with the quirky and cumbersome process to connect my washer and dryer, if I could do it once and then forget about it. But both my washer and dryer keep dropping offline forcing iterative the reconnects. I have good signal strength, and I have other wireless devices right next to the washer and dryer and they do not go offline. So the problem is not my network. I have had numerous communications with support but they cannot provide any solution.

If I could give negative stars I would. This app doesn't work at all, won't connect to the Aircon, and honestly I am impressed it was even able to scan the QR code.

Absolute worst app ever. Will not connect to my wifi. Customer Service was clueless and said a tech needed to come out (for a fee). Kenmore, you know you have a problem with this and you should be offering a fix for free.
