Kids Read Chinese (KRC) is an innovative flashcard system designed specifically for young children to recognize up to 145+ Chinese characters and 108 terms. Young children have great memory capacity and can often memorize mass amount of information with ease. To a child, a Chinese character is a picture and the difficulty of the stroke count does not affect the ease of memorization. Kid Read Chinese utilizes these early traits of children and makes learning and memorizing Chinese characters a fun and easy task. Flashcards can be presented as pure Chinese characters and thus strongly emphasize character recognition. You will be amazed how soon your child will learn to recognize the characters, and thus actually learning to read Chinese instead of just audio recognition with other flashcard systems.
Kids Read Chinese incorporates methods from Glenn Doman’s (founder of The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential) research on How to Teach Your Baby to Read. The visual design of the system is simple and without distraction to help children stay focus on the characters. Characters can be changed to the color red to help younger learners to focus more on the characters. Flashcards also features real photographs as younger children learn about the world better with real photographic pictures instead of cartoons.
