***** Kids Reading Comprehension level 1 Passages For iPhone is an interactive and educational app, developed to assist parents, teachers and caregivers in teaching their children to learn the essential skill of reading comprehension. Featuring: -The ability to keep track of multiple readers (up to four). - Engaging and educational passages pertinent to everyday life. - Follow-up questions that challenge your child to remember what he or she just read. - A fun and entertaining congratulatory experience when all questions have been answered correctly. - Progress reports for each child accessible from within the app. ***** Kids Reading Comprehension Level 1 Passages Experience Upon launching the app you or your child will be taken to the main menu. It is here that your child will choose his or her name. If it is your childs first time using the app, he or she will be prompted to enter his or her name after touching the new reader icon. After entering his or her name, your child will be presented with their own bookshelf. Here your child is free to choose which passage they would like to read. Previously read passages will be marked with a green check. ***** Tips: - Add a level of difficulty by hiding the passages while questions are being answered. This can be done via settings. -Access your childs progress report by touching the progress button located in the upper right hand corner of their bookshelf. -Return to the main menu by touching the main button located at the upper left hand corner of the bookshelf. -Return to the bookshelf from within any passage by touching the back arrow button found in the upper left hand corner of every book. -Visit www.AngelaApps.com to view a demo of Kids Reading Comprehension Level 1 Passages. Both my 5 and 6 year olds love this app! They try to get all of the questions correct so they can see the dancing monkey at the end. I really hope that other levels will be available soon!!! Thx

I love this app! Its great for tutoring younger students! The stories are short like pictured (one page), but the questions are good. I would definitely buy higher levels, especially if the passages were a little longer and had more advanced vocabulary! Please come out with them soon! :)

Had high hopes

My son and I sat down to read these, and the first story he read had spelling errors. ("could" was spelled "coould") Then dismissing the typo, we went on to select a story about humpback whales. The book opened to a page with a photo of a whale, but the story was about Tree Frogs. We went ahead and read the story, however, the review questions that came up to follow were still about humpback whales. Needless to say, we were dissapointed. If these problems can be fixed, then it would be a very nice app for my first grader.

My son doesnt like reading but he has enjoyed using this app. He especially likes the stories about animals and space. Thank you for making reading enjoyable for my son. We are looking forward to the next level.

Great variety of narrative and expository (informational) short stories. With great questions that follow. Good way to help your young reader how to reflect upon the information read and how to look back at the text for the answers. -elementary teacher

This app is great for my struggling readers. They have learned to go back and check before answering the questions in order to make the monkeys dance!! I have and use both 1 and 2. Would love more apps like this with reinforcement being immediate!
