The Pediatric Weight Converter is a simple application that provides a quick and accurate conversion of body weights from pounds - ounces to kilograms or grams. In pediatrics, this is a useful tool especially when converting an infant’s weight from grams to pounds and ounces and vice versa. Most hospital EMR’s (electronic medical records) requires the input of the newborn infant’s weight in grams. Despite this being the trend, most consumers and pediatric healthcare providers still request their infant’s weight in pounds and ounces, especially in the USA. The Pediatric Weight Converter allows for fast conversion without error and in an easy to use format.
The Pediatric Weight Converter is also useful when calculating pediatric medication doses as most medications will reference a dose in kilograms weight.
