Description
Kryptofolio+tax is a FIFO (first in first out) portfolio profit, loss evaluator and optional tax calculator for crypto currencies.
If you use bitcoin and other crypto-currencies for day to day transactions for purchasing or selling goods and services, or as an investment instrument to make a profit; you will be affected by all the price fluctuations in between all the transactions you make day to day or the buy / sell differences during investing activity.
Kryptofolio+tax allows you to import all your transactions from your Bitcoin and Altcoin wallets either via a wallet export to csv or direct from the blockchain or (for extra privacy) a QR Code direct into your smartphone; it will then automatically lookup the historical value of these transactions in your selected fiat currency (USD,GBP,EUR,any other). The tool can then calculate profit and loss for each transaction and keep a running score.
All major crypto currencies are supported as well as six custom user defined ones. Kryptofolio+tax can export report data in a variety of different formats either pdf reports, or CSV / XAML for subsequent import and analysis with other tools.
Since legislation is constantly evolving and very different in different territories, Kryptofolio+tax has an optional highly configurable tax section. However the consequence is that this configuration is therefore non-trivial, please inform yourself (via web or better still a tax specialist) as to what these settings should be for your territory.
IMPORTANT this is only intended to be used as a pocket guide just to keep track of potential tax liabilities and does not replace a professionally prepared tax return by a qualified accountant.
