XXVI laulu- ja XIX tantsupidu “Aja puudutus. Puudutuse aeg” toimub Tallinnas 4.- 6. juulil 2014.
XXVI laulu- ja XIX tantsupeol “Aja puudutus. Puudutuse aeg” kohtuvad kaks olulist märksõna – aeg ja puudutus. Laulupeo esimese kontserdi kava “Aja puudutus” toob meieni väärtusliku varamu alates esimesest laulupeost. Teise päeva kavas on palju uut loomingut tänaste autorite sulest.
XIX tantsupeo ideekavand “Puudutus” on sündinud igatsusest, et oleksime avatud märkama ja väärtustama seda, mis on päris, ning ei raiskaks oma väärtuslikku aega tühisusele ega sulgeks oma südant puudutustele. Vaatamata sellele, et meie elu koosneb paljudest puudutustest, ei jõua enamik nendest paraku näpuotsast kaugemale. Ja puudutuste puudumisest tekkinud tühjuse täidab igatsus ja valu.

This is the story of time manifesting itself in our ancestors’ heritage and us shaping our time through our own touches, contacts, caresses and impacts.
Song and dance celebrations are an old and very important tradition for Estonia and Estonians (the first song celebration took place in 1869 and the first dance celebration in 1934) and these celebrations are nowadays held every five years. In 2003 our tradition of song and dance celebrations was entered to UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
