Persian language is one of more than 100 Iranian and Indo-Aryan languages. Persian Grammar will provide you the basic structure for 4 major languages of Urdu, Dari, Pashto, and Hindi spoken by almost 3 billion people. In these sections the basic grammar of the Persian language is outlined to provide a reference and quizzes to practice vocabulary. You will find many similarities with English as Persian is part of the Indo- European Languages. It is not as complicated as some other languages. For instance, it does not have gender, as do French, dual as does Arabic, or case inflections, as does German.
Diglossia, the difference between the formal written and the spoken variations is one of the main features of the Persian language. In this reference the emphasis has been on both spoken (colloquial) and formal Persian.
