This app is truly amazing! I was thinking about buying a rangefinder but didnt want to spent $200-$300. When I found this I decided why not its just $5. And I am glad I bought it because it is awesome. If u get your stand height right it works like charm. A $5 rangefinder. WOW. It works as well as the expensive ones!
Not that great.
Works but you pretty much have to get your height perfect. You cant be sure youre aiming it at your target. They need to make a range finder that utilizes the camera on the phone instead of pointing your phone at the target lol
Dont buy
The app doesnt work it should be free I couldnt even get it to work for a while then when I did its not even accurate and I couldnt get a refund.
Horrible
Wish I cld get my money back
Crazy
I was a bit skeptical, but know a couple buddies running this app with good success. I dont have the bucks for a laser rangefinder, so $5 was worth a shot. You cant get any readings until you set-up a stand location with the appropriate height from the ground to your eye. I had trouble trying to use it "right out of the box" - but a quick support exchange with the Hunt Geeks - and a quick read of the tips pages inside the app - got me rolling right away - (estimation on the height seems to work pretty well). From there it worked fairly accurate - crazy accurate really... Worth $5..? - definitely! Worked for me!
Wasted money
I bought this as a back up range finder. Sitting in stand now comparing to my laser range finder. Do not rely on this app. Using this range finder could result in a miss or a mangled animal. Spend the money on a RF that will provide you with the best ethical shot.
Worth the money
Worth $5? Most definately! I found it to be pretty accurate. You have to know your stand height pretty close for it to work.
