Don’t bother to download this app if you have a Macbook pro 15’ 2015 with El Capitan, it don’t work at all. Not tested with other configurations.
ONly works if you BUY an USB dongle….
…. So dont bother installing it, its just a trap to make you pay for something you re not suppose to pay for
Does not work since 10.9.2
Though this is a really great app and very useful - just like LightBlue for iOS - it has the problem that it does not work since 10.9.2 . And alas, Punch Through Design does not react on Bugreports.
Doesn’t start.
Just gets stuck, asking to turn on Bluetooth, even though it’s already on. Edit: I think this might have to do with my hardware’s lack of support for BLE. Still, a better explanation should be provided by the program, rather then just offering to Quit.
Disconnect from ibeacon every 5 seconds
Yeah, it is true. Disconnect from ibeacon every 5 seconds with last MacBook Air 13.
Great app for helping test BLE devices and code
This app has been great for testing my BLE development data. I purchased the dongle that they promote through the app as I have an older Macbook Air and it worked a charm. It also works in the current version of the XCode simulator so you dont need to run out and pick up a new iOS device immediately.
Good tool for bluetooth low energy sensor development
This is a solid, basic tool that was able to pinpoint a problem in a bluetooth low energy communication link. Big help in determining that a BLE112 development board was working, and that the problem was in my data format. The write services in hex or ascii are key for troubleshooting. Used on a 2011 MacBook Air with integrated BT 4.0 where the built-in bluetooth software had not been discovering my low energy BT devices. Thanks!
