Instantly know when lightning has struck near you or any of your saved locations via push-notification. Open the app on your iPhone or iPad to see when and where lightning has struck on a stunning hi-def radar map. Lightning Cast has subscription based pricing, see options below. Key Features - See lightning strikes in near real-time on a fluid and fast loading animated hi-def map - Add location bookmarks on the map for your important places - Push notifications for lightning strikes near bookmarked locations - Can adjust notification radius up to 200 miles from each bookmarked location - NWS (National Weather Service) severe weather warning boxes on map with alert details - Hourly forecast for the next 24 hours, as well as 5 day forecast for any location - Portrait/Landscape views on iPhone and iPad, fully supported at full-screen - Get fast support from within the app Pricing - The initial purchase gets you the lightning data and notifications for 3 months. - After the first 3 months are over, you can purchase a subscription renewal to continue to get notifications. Subscription Options - 3 months for $1.99 - 1 year for $6.99 IMPORTANT: When you install and launch for the first time, the app will ask to turn on push-notifications. Please choose YES to avoid having to manually enable it later. Coverage Note: This app is only useful for users in the lower 48 states. Accuracy is not sufficient for users in Alaska, Hawaii, Guam or Puerto Rico.

They do not tell you that the purchase Id for 3-months! It must be renewed if wanted every 3-months. No radar view!

DO NOT PAY. Cant recommend anymore. Like other recent reviewers, Im not getting alerts even when in severe lightning storms. Hope they get it back up to snuff soon.

Worked ok for a few years, I resubscribed to the lightning alerts and nothing in 2.5 months. I contacted the developer and no reply. I contacted Apple for a refund, got it and now Im in search of a replacement app.

This app worked great the first year and a half that I had it. But for the past month or so, Ive gotten zero notifications, and my lightning list is very buggy. Therell be lightning striking near me, and yet it doesnt show up in the lightning strike list.

App doesn’t work properly!!!

I am getting alerts but when I look to see how far away lightning is it tells me it is hundreds of miles away when I know it is very close to being overhead. I have sent a couple of messages but have not received a reply. I WILL NOT RENEW!!!

AVOIID this Piece of crap; Alerts havent worked for months

Despite having a full year subscription, Lightning Cast hasnt provided alerts in months. Its completely unreliable. Dont be scammed and AVOID this useless app. Grade: F The company has not responded to multiple email complaints. I feel cheated. Judging from so many similar reviews, Im not alone in my thinking.

Used to work great...now, its unreliable, crashes and all support is asleep at the wheel... Avoid and save the hassle...
