I am an American living in West Bengal, and this app absolutely incredible. Learning Bangla is tough, and there are few resources available to do so. This app will be useful to you if you know zero Bangla and will just need the basics, or if you are studying Bangla and need a more advanced phrase or just need to learn the stuff noone will teach you (insults, flirting.). Really a boon. Thanks much. B

This gave a lot of useful phrases. I wish it provided transliteration. Overall, well worth the money. :)

Best Bengali app

Have used lots of CDs for first Hindi and now Bengali and this is by far the best. Good layout and transliteration. Would also like to be able to play your favourites in sequence without needing to tap each one.

Audio stopped working

It has the potential of being at least a 4 star app...but the audio stopped working so now it is useless :-( please fix this and I will upgrade rating for sure.

There are a ton of useful phrases and the setup is great. English, Bangla script, phonetic Bangla written in English, and then the recording of the phrase. You can even change how quickly its spoken. Great value.
