I own a Vinli and this app should be able to communicate its GPS location directly to Vinli so it can log the last location it was at before power was switched off but it appears to instead rely upon my iPhone’s location services. This means I have to be connected to Vinli OBD2 device via WiFi directly. This is ridiculous. Vinli’s other apps can track the car’s movement without being directly connected so this app should be able to determine the last location. This needs to be fixed. UPDATE (8/21/16): Looks like the app just doesnt work now. It hasnt updated position of my car for months. Ive pulled-reinserted the Vinli unit, Ive restarted the app. Lack of working apps means Vinli is very little value. I know the unit itself is working as I can pull data into other apps like OBD Fusion.

Apparently my vehicle has been started numerous times while still safely in the garage. This app is great if you like to panic frequently.

Doesnt work...yet
Tried many times, including resync of device. Worked briefly once. The location is stuck in a place visited a few days back. Dont know if it uses the phones GPS or the inbuilt one, but doesnt work either ways. Please address asap. Lastly, I think you need to think about bringing your three apps together, the setup app, the drive app and the lock/key one. Its clunky to need to log into each one and then allow access to each device. The features are limited in each and I dont see any point in opening each app at this point.
I can see my car on map!
This is kind of small step making my old car bit smart. After setting up with my vinli app, it showed up my car location on map. It would be useful though to open location in google map.
