Great Dictionary

This is how an idiomatic dictionary supposed to function. I bought the Oxford Idioms Dictionary yesterday and I was enraged at the rip off because it didnt allow me to bookmark idioms except headwords. I wanted to dump the whole application store thing for lack of a trial period. I went ahead and purchased this dictionary on an impulse and couldnt be happier. You can type any word and all the idioms containing that word will populate. Go ahead and get it if you are into dictionary of idioms. No regrets at all. And this is just Version 1.0.

great great dictionary! simple and easy to use but complete!:) i love it! you can save your favorites and history plus it is very easy to search. what i love most about this app? it has a quiz function! it shows random definitions and you have to pick which idiom it is referring to :) this app is definitely worth buying :)

With this app, it can help greatly enchance and improve my idioms vocabulary. Theres alot of idioms and descriptions that are very concise & easy to understand. Great apps. Value for money.

For a $13.99 price tag, you get what you paid for plus there is a lot more. Longman Idioms Dictionary by Pearson Education Limited is one of the most used applications in my iPhone. I recommend this idioms-in-your-pocket to everyone - for the learners of the English language, for students, for teachers, for all and sundry who wants to develop their English idioms vocabulary. This application is undeniably created for you. With another update (hopefully not in a month of Sundays), this application could certainly cause stir to its consumers. Longman Idioms Dictionary with over 6000 idioms definitely hit the jackpot.

Waste of money

I checked reviews before I bought it Reviews were good but after I got I was so frustrating Whats the function of search tab???? If I have some unknown words It should be letting me know that meaning at least But it cant And doubt about it has over 6000 idioms as they say

Many idioms are not found. Better to google. Very expensive, gives less value compared to other apps of lesser price. Poor search implementation.

This is not a comprehensive book of idioms. Anyone who wishes to obtain the meanings of idiomatic phrases beyond the most frequently used ones, youll not find it in this app. This was a disappointment for me. Not one of the idioms I looked for was in this app. It might be useful for elementary students. It is not worth the price.
