my mac world
Only place dir top tier Apple News
There are many places to get info on big red. But Macworld has been at it the longest. The writers true red Apple fans but they dont hokd anything back if they have a problem with the latest gadget or moves by Apple. If your thinking of chabging your OS or gadget or your a longtime fanboy or girl & want unadulterated reveies & articles Macworld is the gold standard.
App fails to load
I tried subscribing, only to find that the app will not open on my iPad Pro. Cancelled my subscription.
Support dont answer back
Since I upgrade to IOS 8 I cant read Macworld, every other magazine is working. I never had a bad support like this magazine before, they dont bother to answer back, I emails 3-4 times. I cant read the product I paid for and they dont care...Very disappointed.
Difficult Interface
Call me a shallow novice, but I like a good-sense, clear interface. The difficulty I have with this app is that, upon opening it, I can only find prompts to "Buy Issue." When I already have a subscription (with auto-renewal, actually) the interface should at least then have options which say something like, "New Issue Available for Download." I actually cancelled my subscription because I got weary of the dang UI.
Special Issues Not Too Special
The MacWorld app itself and the magazines available for purchase within are great. I have a subscription myself and look forward to the new issues every month. With that being said, the "Special Issues", which are not included in the subscription and cost about twice as much as a regular magazine are, in my opinion, neither special nor worth the extra cost of having them. Theyre made up of about 99% of the same content as the issue that came before it. Even the special issue for the iPad Air is nearly the same as the one for the iPad mini. The introductions for each are exactly the same word for word; the only difference being the name of the product itself. The "Complete Guide For The iPad Mini, hardly even contains a single mention of the word "Retina". Despite it being the biggest new feature of the new iPad Mini, its barely even talked about. Most of the content in this special issue is the exact same content as the one for the first iPad mini. I was looking forward to reading more about my new iPad Mini with Retina, but instead read a general description of any iPad out there.
Love this mag!
I so look forward to each edition! I am a "Mac-aholic" and love to read anything about them. I learn lots from this mag!! Keep up the good work! Patty - USA
