The objective is to form words with the highest score and attain the rank of Arcane Grandmaster. You construct words by joining adjacent letters on the screen and when a valid word is successfully formed, the tiles of the letters are eliminated. Additional tiles are destroyed as bonus if you are able to form 5-letter words or longer. You clear the stage when all the tiles in the screen have been removed. Learn mysterious magic spells to assist in forming longer words. Obtain 4 types of gems to increase a letters points, as well as open the path for new spells to be learned. Obtain all 6 spells in the game to achieve word mastery. But beware! Monsters spawn from time to time and will attack the player causing loss of health points. Features: * Original game concept that combines a simple word game with spells, gems, hit points and mana * 20 challenging levels filled with multi-hit tiles and "monster" tiles that suck up life if not eliminated * High Scores that track your best words formed, as well as highest rank attained * Pit your skills against the rest of the world with in-game score submission to our website. Its a great app. Ive played many word games and this is one of the best. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is I would like to see the letters rearrange after every area. This app is worth the money.

I cant give this game a five star, but I really like it. There are issues with a flickering screen before or after a game. $3.00 is a waste of money if this cant be fixed. The words need to be moved around also after each game, and not the same order. Fix everything and five stars will be given.

I like the premise, but there are flaws that really hurt this game. - the letters are hard to read against some of the textures/backgrounds - the instructions are lacking, to say the least. What each spell does, how do you cast them, etc... Is all pretty unclear and requires some trial and error. - the bigger gem required for the more powerful spells are very hard to get. I think some refinement and further play development would push this into the must have catagory. Just not there yet.

This game really puts your strategy skills to the test. I just wish it wasnt so hard to get the more powerful magic spells. Itd be nice if there was some music. Its still great the way it is though. Definitely worth the buy.

Even though Im a professional writer and good with words, and even though I enjoy board and computer games, Ive never really cared for word games such as Scrabble, Boggle, etc. The only reason I tried Magic Words Arcanum is that it billed itself as an RPG. Despite the "spells" aspect, I dont really view Arcanum as an RPG; nonetheless, I love the game and have found it to be as addictive as any pastime Ive put on my iPhone. I especially enjoy the mental flexibility required in finding words that follow tortuous paths and/or require the use of spells to turn hidden possibilities into reality; and, though I dont normally have a competitive personality, I love the challenge of keeping myself high on the "leaders board."

I like this game a lot, but the letters can be too hard to read against the background. There needs to be stronger contrast.
