Each day includes prayers for the morning, evening, and night inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours; the entire text of daily Mass; meditations on the daily Gospel drawn from classic writings of the Church Fathers as well as insights from recent spiritual masters; essays on the lives of the saints, both well-known and obscure; and sacred art masterpieces with commentaries. As it does for the hundreds of thousands already reading and praying with MAGNIFICAT, this unique App will accompany your spiritual journey and enrich your daily prayer life. Now 2 editions in one: - The American English Edition of MAGNIFICAT (Fr. Sebastian White, OP, Editor-in Chief) contains readings, texts, and the Liturgical calendar appropriate for the USA using the New American Bible. - The International English Edition of MAGNIFICAT (Léonie Caldecott, Editor-in-Chief) contains readings, texts, and the Liturgical calendar appropriate for English-speaking countries using the Jerusalem Bible (Australia, Ireland, UK, etc.). Subscribers to the print edition receive complimentary App access. For first-time users, the App is free from the day it is installed until the end of that month, at which time you can subscribe on our website or through the App*. We pray that using this one-of-a-kind app will draw you closer to Jesus, his Blessed Mother, and his Church. *Subscriptions to MAGNIFICAT purchased through the App are on a monthly or yearly basis. As per Apple’s policy, annual subscriptions automatically renew and will be charged for the renewal unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current subscription. After purchase, annual subscriptions may be managed, and auto-renewal may be turned off by accessing the users Apple ID Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication. I like the musics a lot. About the login issue it occured but i uninstalled the app and installed it back and it worked fine.

I was so excited by this app and have been looking forward to it. I was really disappointed that you need to have a connection at all times to use it. Thats not always an option for an iTouch user. Im further disappointed that this point isnt in the description. I really enjoy the Magnificat publication and was looking forward to having it on my iPod, but Ill be going back to iMissal for my daily readings.

Clunky & requires Internet connection

At the very least you must connect once a day to download each section. Cant even view credits or About without being connected to the Internet. Forget it. Both free and paid apps are out there that will provide the same material and more without the constant need for wi-fi or 3G

Needs major improvement

The load screen and main menu are fine, but that is about as high quality as this app gets. The fonts and font size used for the prayers section are small and painful to read.
