There are many beautiful cultures in Japan, including; the food, sake, traditional handicrafts, and even many others that are not yet widely known outside of Japan. Unfortunately, much of Japanese culture is being forgotten about and even disappearing because of the modernization of Japan. Rural areas, in particular, have been struggling to attract attention regardless of their fascinating cultures, simply because of a lack of promotional opportunities. If no one is aware of these places, how could these places survive the times? No one would know about these hidden treasures in Japan unless someone takes action. At MATCHA, we hope to bring to light the best of our rural areas to the world. In doing so, we hope that these valuable Japanese cultures can withstand the tests of time and continue to live on for future generations. With a firm stance that Japan consists of more than just Tokyo, MATCHA will be covering all the regions across Japan.
