Media Manager Media Manager enables video files to be downloaded or streamed on an iTouch,iPhone or iPad, over WiFi only. Create your own video channel. The program will arrange videos into folders according to an XML file that contains the instructions for media manger. (for details of the XML file contact [email protected]). USING MEDIA MANAGER Before proceeding with step 1 please ensure that you have access to the internet. This is performed through a wireless connection only. Please check the setting area on your device for an internet connection. Media Manager allows content to be transferred to your device by synchronising with a server via the internet. STEP1 Go to the settings area of your device and tap on media manager. STEP 2 In the field called URL, type in the address of your server, using the following format http://domainname.com/foldername (do not use www) If you are unsure of the address please contact your company administrator. you may also be required to enter a Username and password. This allows you to protect folders on your server. Make sure the full sync button is turned ON. Push the home/menu button on the bottom of the device to exit the settings area. STEP 3 Open the Media Manager app. Push the sync button on the bottom right hand side of the screen. Performing a sync will ensure that you have the latest content on your device. After you tap this button you will see the device syncing the files. STEP 4 Once you have perform a sync return to the settings and turn the Full Sync button to OFF STEP 5 Once you have synchronised the Media Manager you can browse the content to decide which videos you will download and which ones you will stream via the web. Tap on the option you would like. If you would like to use the video later press download. This may take several minutes depending on the file size. During this process do not exit the screen. You will need to allow the device to complete before progressing. Once the file has downloaded press the play button to watch the video.
