Il y a 200 ans était découvert l’iode par le chimiste français Bernard Courtois. Depuis, une centaine de nouveaux éléments chimiques, naturels ou artificiels, ont été découverts au rythme moyen d’un nouvel atome tous les 5 ans. Et ce n’est pas fini ! Le tableau périodique de Mendeleïev rappelle certainement de bons ou moins bons souvenirs des cours de chimie. Dans cette application iPad et iPhone, il est revisité par les laboratoires Merck pour en faire une version interactive … et presque ludique. On y trouve non seulement toutes les caractéristiques physico-chimiques utiles mais aussi des éléments historiques et des photos. La navigation est remarquablement bien conçue.
