Message+ at Mac App Store analyse

I installed this on iMac as well as Mac Book Pro. It fails to sync conversations at all. I uninstalled and then reinstalled with no joy. Disabled the firewall still fails. Disabled AntiVirus and it still won’t work. It will send ok, but that is about it. I am at a loss. it does work fine in windows10 on my surface pro3!

It was okay while it worked. Every once in a while I would miss a message, or my message wouldn’t send. Then, after about a week-and-a-half, it just stopped working completely. Wouldn’t send, wouldnt’ receive. I uninstalled, trashed all the files, and redownloaded the app, and still nothing. Don’t waste your time. You’ll get your hopes up, and then realize that the world is a cold, dark place, and then be sad about life. All because of this app. Thanks, Verizon.

This app works okay, better then some other reviews I have read. It is slick and has a good look, but sometimes my messages don’t sync. Additionally, when I am typing, sometimes my text randomly vanishes. It needs work. I switched from Google Voice/Hangouts to use Verizon’s messaging services, and so far I am not entirely happy with my decision.

Sometimes syncs with my phone, other times it doesn’t, which doesn’t matter ot me personally a whole lot. However today it started sending random unreadable nonsense to people I was messaging with instead of the actual messages I was trying to type. That’s no bueno.

This application on some systems causes 100+% CPU utilization. Processor runs hot causing fans to run top speed. Uninstall and reinstall and it does not correct the problem. VerizonWireless technical is no help. They just tell you something is incompatable. Never installed this applicaiton on a laptop. It will kill the battery very quickly. Often crashes diring the day whether or not it is in use or running in the background. Causes HIGH CPU usage and High Energy impact as indicated on the Activity Monitor. Also, often does not receive messages on the desktop even though they arrive okay on the handheld devices. It’s a great start but needs some updates and bug fixes quickly. I would not suggest you install this applicaiton until Verizon fixes the application.

The concept is great. So great that the fact that the app doesn’t work makes me hate verizon. Text gets autodeleted while typing. Unbearably frustrating. If Verizon ever gets this right it will be a huge win. Until then….

FINALLY! The bug that caused long messages to get deleted if you didn’t type and hit send fast enough is fixed. The app is finally usable, after months and months of aggravation.
